Marty Heflin

Marty Heflin is the Founder and Managing Partner of Range Light Partners. In his career, Marty has been involved with developing over $150 million worth of real estate in the Southeast and Metro Washington DC.


Marty graduated from Vanderbilt University and has returned there as the Adjunct Professor for Real Estate Finance at the Owen Graduate School of Management. He received his MBA from Wake Forest University where he was a Babcock Scholar and Bob White Award recipient.


Heflin is a former development partner with Trammell Crow Residential and was a founding partner of Wood Partners, a national apartment development firm.  He is also the founder and Managing Partner of M2H Group, a boutique development company that has won awards from the Urban Land Institute and the Nashville Historic Society.


Marty is past president of the Tennessee Apartment Association and the Greater Nashville Apartment Association.  He is a member of the Congress of New Urbanism, serves on the Executive Committee of the Nashville District Council for Urban Land Institute and chairs the Infrastructure Committee for ULI Nashville. He was recently named one of Nashville’s “most important real estate players.”


A former Naval Officer, Heflin attributes his love of the sea to his service and continues to practice his navigation with sea kayaking adventures.  He serves on the board of the NROTC Alumni Association as well as the development board for the Dominican Campus.
